Ketua Dewan Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kediri (DK4) Imam Mubarok berharap Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Kediri dapat memulangkan ratusan benda purbakala milik Kabupaten Kediri yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia.
Arkeolog dan juga Kasi Muskala di Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kediri, Eko Prianto, mengatakan bahwa ratusan benda purbakala yang dimaksud tersebar di beberapa tempat yang paling banyak di BPCB Trowulan.
“500 benda purbakala tersebut yang terbanyak berada di BPCB Trowulan, yakni sekitar 300 lebih. Lainnya tersebar antara lain di Museum Mpu Tantular Sidoarjo, Museum Sonobudaya Yogyakarta dan juga di Museum Nasional Indonesia,” ungkap Eko Priatno, Selasa (8/3).
Meski telah mempunyai Museum Daerah Bhagawanta Bari yang berlokasi di belakang Kantor DPRD Kabupaten Kediri, musem tersebut diperkirakan tak dapat memuat ratusan benda purbakala yang berjumlah ratusan.
Saat ini Pemkab Kediri sedang kejar tayang membangun museum.
Salah satu benda purbakala yang belum bisa dipulangkan tersebut, yaitu Prasasti Harinjing yang menjadi dasar Hari jadi Kabupaten Kediri.
Prasasti Harinjing ditemukan di wilayah Kediri, Jawa Timur dan sampai saat ini menjadi koleksi Museum Nasional Indonesia, Jakarta dengan nomor inventarisasi D.173.
