intervalinstitute.com – Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan menginisiasi acara Kenduri Swarna Bhumi yang akan digelar oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi.
Kegiatan Kenduri Swarna Bhumi dirasa penting untuk menumbuhkan kembali ingatan masyarakat terkait Sungai Batanghari dalam kegiatan masyarakat Jambi.
Hal ini disampaikan pada rapat koordinasi Kenduri Swarna Bhumi yang dihadiri oleh Direktur Jenderal Kebudayaan, Hilmar Farid dan juga Wakil Gubernur Jambi, Abdullah Sani, di Auditorium Rumah Dinas Gubernur Jambi, Senin (14/3).
Dalam unggahan instagram Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan dijelaskan bahwa Kenduri Swarna Bhumi merupakan kegiatan Susur Budaya Melayu Jambi kerja sama antara Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan, Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang merupakan upaya bersama untuk memajukan kebudayaan dan menjaga lingkungan sungai di daerah aliran sungai Batanghari.
Hilmar Farid menjelaskan bahwa kenduri tersebut bukan sekadar kegiatan, melainkan juga gerakan kebudayaan untuk mengingatkan kembali ingatan masyarakat tentang pentingnya sungai dalam kehidupan sehingga perlu meletakkan kebudayaan di hulu pembangunan.
“Kegiatan-kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan pada Kenduri Swarna Bhumi bisa menyesuaikan dan bersinergi dengan kegiatan Pemerintah Daerah. Komitmen dari setiap Pemerintah Daerah terhadap daerah aliran Sungai Batanghari sangat penting untuk menyukseskan kenduri Swarna Bhumi,” jelas Hilmar Farid.
