Piala Academy Award atau biasa disebut Piala Oscar ke-94 ini dianugerahkan terhadap 23 nominasi. Film epic science berjudul ‘Dune’ dan juga film ‘CODA’ memborong beberapa penghargaan.
Film ‘Dune’ yang dirilis pada 13 Oktober 2021 ini sukses menyabet 6 nominasi meliputi kategori Best Film Editing, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, dan Best Production Design.
Film yang disutradarai oleh Denis Villeneuve ini diadaptasi dari novel dengan judul yang sama karya Frank Herbert yang terbit pada tahun 1965.
Dibintangi oleh Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, film ‘Dune’ menceritakan keluarga bangsawan yang tersangkut perang demi menguasai aset galaksi yang begitu berharga.
